Nationals Park - home of the Washington Nationals

Nationals Park was named one of the thirteen most significant projects of 2008 by the Associated General Contractors of America, all recognized "for their complexity, innovation, success and ultimately, for their significance to the construction community and the nation at large."
Nationals Park also was named a winner of of the 2008 "Beyond Green" High-Performance Building Awards from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council, in a ceremony on Capitol Hill where case studies of the winners were presented.

A soaring metal rooftop canopy announces the building's landmark presence relative to its urban surroundings; a complementary canopy over the entrance reinforces this gesture into a lobby distinguished by fine finishes.  Also featured:  centrally located high-speed traction elevators programmed for quick response and minimal waiting time connecting all office floors with four levels of parking, freight elevator serving all levels and proposed on-site amenity retail at the first floor, including a restaurant, café and financial services.
Bands of metal feature panels and glass articulate the primary facades, cool-tinted high-performance glazing reflects the sky while maximizing vistas, artfully designed lobby details including granite and glass walls and granite flooring, and an articulated ceiling with dramatic lighting, efficient office environment designed with 19,958 s. f. rectangular floor plates proportioned for flexible interior and perimeter office layouts, windows that wrap corner offices take maximum advantage of views.  9'-0" ceiling height, digitally controlled variable-air-volume HVAC system and a card key security access system.
A building structure design with shallow floor structure allows open office plan flexibility on ten floors, state-of-the-art building and telecommunication system, a building power system sized to accommodate high-tech, high demand users, high-performance, low emissivity energy-efficient window and storefront glass.
